General information on Anti-ITGA2B_ITGB3(Homo sapiens) (Abciximab) Monoclonal Antibody

Abciximab is the Fab fragment of the chimeric human mouse monoclonal antibody 7E3. Abciximab binds to human platelet glycoprotein (GP) IIb/IIIa receptors and inhibits platelet aggregation by preventing the binding of fibrinogen, von Willebrand factor and other adhesion molecules. It also binds to vitronectin (alpha v beta 3) receptors found on platelets, vascular wall endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells.
