Human PD-L2 recombinant protein is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein and is a member of the B7 family of CD proteins. It consists of a single extracellular immunoglobulin-like domain, a transmembrane domain and a short cytoplasmic tail.
PD-L2 plays an important role in the regulation of immune responses by binding to its receptor PD-1 on the surface of T cells and B cells. This binding leads to the inhibition of the activation and proliferation of these cells, thus acting as an immune checkpoint protein.
Human PD-L2 recombinant protein is used in antibody-drug target therapy, where it is used to develop antibodies that can bind to PD-L2 and block the PD-L2/PD-1 interaction. This can result in the activation and proliferation of T cells and B cells, thus enhancing the immune response against cancer cells.
