General Information about Actin beta recombinant protein

Beta-actin (ACTB / ACTB, short for human genes and proteins) is one of six different actin isoforms recognized in humans. Actin is a highly conserved protein involved in cell movement, structure, and integrity. Alpha-actin is the main component of the contractile device. Β-actin has been shown to interact with SPTBN2. Furthermore, the RNA-binding protein Sam68 has been found to interact with the mRNA encoding β-actin, which regulates synapse formation in dendritic spines with its cytoskeletal components. Beta-act is generally used for control of sample loading due to cell integrity and protein degradation in PCR and Western blot analysis. Its molecular weight is about 42 kDa.
